2025 Volkswagen Atlas Trim Comparison

Find Your World

Volkswagen has long been a consumer favorite: the classic German engineering, affordable pricing, and impeccable performance ensure all its cars are top performers and guaranteed to be crowd-pleasers.

But one car within their fold has always stood out-the Atlas. It's a spacious and family-friendly SUV that delivers on Volkswagen's stellar reputation. Because the 2024 model was a runaway hit, the 2025 one doesn't reinvent the wheel. But that doesn't mean there's nothing new to be excited about. We here at Sport Durst Volkswagen are eager to share it with you and tell you all about it.

However, if you're more interested in a smaller SUV than the Atlas, we'd recommend a new 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan for sale in Goldsboro and the surrounding areas. It's not been long since its release but it's already garnering fantastic reviews.

What kind of car is the 2025 Volkswagen Atlas?

The 2025 Atlas is a mid-size SUV with three-row seating and ample cargo space. Within the category, you can compare it to a Toyota Highlander, a Honda Pilot, a Ford Explorer, or a Kia Telluride.

How many trims are available for the 2025 Volkswagen Atlas?

While its predecessor had 6 trims, the 2025 Atlas offers only 5 trims this time around. Each trim boasts a 2L four-cylinder turbocharged engine at its heart that generates 269 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, ensuring no matter where you take your Atlas, you'll always be at home.

  1. 2025 Volkswagen Atlas SE

The base Atlas trim comes with Volkswagen's trademark IQ.DRIVE, which is a collection of smart driver-assist technologies. It features V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces with heated and ventilated front seats and 5-door keyless access. The exterior boasts 18" machined alloy wheels with all-season tires, promising safety no matter the driving conditions.

  1. 2025 Volkswagen Atlas SE with Technology

The SE with Technology builds on the base trim in some important ways. Along with a 5,000 lb towing capacity, you have a trailer hitch, hands-free easy open/close remote power rear liftgate, and park distance control (both front and rear). The exterior has 20" machined alloy wheels with all-season tires, a front grille with an integrated light bar, and an exterior illuminated emblem.

  1. 2025 Volkswagen Atlas Peak Edition

The Peak Edition builds leans on the Atlas' outdoorsy side adding all-terrain tires to the 18" black alloy wheels. It also has exclusive Peak Edition bumpers with lower-side cladding and black mirror caps. One of our favorite features is the multi-color adjustable ambient lighting on the interior.

  1. 2025 Volkswagen Atlas SEL

The SEL trim takes the Atlas into luxurious territory with all-leather seating surfaces, a passenger power seat, a head-up display, and a 12" touchscreen navigation console.

  1. 2025 Volkswagen Atlas SEL Premium R-Line

The Premium R-Line is peak Atlas, boasting 21" machined alloy wheels along with the exclusive R-Line exterior styling. On the inside, expect perforated Vienna leather seating surfaces that come with massage-enabled front seats with 4-way lumbar support. You'll even have an overhead view camera and a Harman Kardon premium audio system to round out its impressive features.
